A long sleeve tee is simply a T-shirt with full-length sleeves. It is made from the same soft jersey as a short sleeve tee, so it feels familiar, but it covers more when the weather turns.
- Layering: under a jumper, a flannel shirt or an open hoodie.
- Base layer: under a jacket on cold mornings, for walking, cycling or work outdoors.
- On its own: on mild spring and autumn days, when short sleeves are too little.
- Printing: a sleeve print or a small chest logo for staff and events.

Which fabric should a plain long sleeve tee have?
Cotton is the safest choice for a long sleeve worn close to the skin. It is soft, breathable and does not trap sweat the way polyester can. The Fruit of the Loom Valueweight Long Sleeve T-shirt is 100 % cotton and certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, which means the fabric has been tested for harmful substances.

How should a long sleeve T-shirt fit?
- Sleeves: the cuff should reach your wrist bone when your arms hang down.
- Cuffs: ribbed cuffs keep the sleeves in place when you push them up.
- Shoulders: the shoulder seam should sit at the edge of your shoulder, not halfway down the arm.
- Length: the hem should cover your belt, so it stays tucked under a jumper.

How do you keep a long sleeve tee in shape?
- Wash at 30 to 40 degrees, inside out, with similar colours.
- Skip the hot tumble dryer, which can shrink cotton and make the sleeves shorter.
- Dry it flat or on a hanger so the cuffs and collar keep their shape.
- Wash white and light tees separately to keep them bright, as explained in plain white T-shirts.
